Last Shabbat I woke up to the disturbing news of the all out attack on free speech and the demonization of conservatives. Something we have never seen in our lifetime - a sitting US President censored and silenced by Big Tech and the media. But they didn’t stop there! Since then there has been a massive assault on free speech and conservatives around the world as thousands of accounts have been deleted and suspended without cause. Mostly Christians and Conservatives.
Like you, we have been feeling the intense spiritual warfare of this season in such a real and heavy way. As you have probably also experienced we too have been battling on every side in what seems to be a never ending war.
But this last Shabbat as I was in shock at what was happening, I felt such a strong battle for my attention. I then clearly heard the voice of The Lord speaking to me in that gentle soft voice: He said “put that away” & “rest in me”.
I was so comforted by those words that I immediately put my phone away and joined the family for a nice walk. On the way back as I was entering the gate to my home, I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and had an amazing picture/impression of believers all over the world entering into a true Shabbat rest as an act of total surrender and praise to the Lord. After all the warfare and battle to just simply worship the King by honoring His Holy day and truly resting in Him. I believe that this not only will be an incredible gift of refreshing for the Body, but also a powerful act of spiritual warfare that will completely confound & confuse the enemy as we quiet our minds and worship the King in perfect rest.
When we feel the enemy raising up against us and trying to cause us to respond in a certain way, we must identify his objectives and do the opposite. It is absolutely clear that the enemy is trying to instill fear, panic, distress and uncertainties into our lives. We must therefore be aware of his demonic schemes and respond in total opposition! WORSHIP WINS THE WAR!
The enemy wants you to be afraid. But The Lord did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love & a sound mind. ( 2 Timothy 1:7 )
The enemy wants you distracted and off balance. But The Lord says that he will keep in perfect peace those whose mind is stayed on him. ( Isaiah 26:3 )
The enemy wants you to panic and to make decisions out of fear and anxiety. But The Lord has promised never to leave you and never to forsake you.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

I can just imagine The Lord sitting in Heaven and looking down on Earth to see His children totally at rest for 25 hours from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown on the Shabbat right before the US Inauguration. What a beautiful way for us to say: Father we trust you. We love you and we are resting in the fact that you have everything under control. So whether you already keep Shabbat or not, this is a wonderful opportunity to participate in this Holy and blessed commandment. Many don’t realize it, but keeping the Sabbath holy is part of the 10 commandments (the 4th commandment) and carries incredible blessings for honoring it.
I think this is going to be an incredible time in The Lord where He wants to meet with us all individually and corporately. There is Restoration and power in returning and resting in The Lord!
“For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” But you were unwilling,”
- Isaiah 30:15 ESV
Let us not be like those who were not willing to Repent, return and rest. Let us press into the beauty of Shabbat and trust The Lord that in quietness and in trust will be our strength. For it is not by power or by might, but by His Holy Spirit that we will overcome.
We want to invite you to join us this Friday the 15th sundown- Saturday 16th sundown to completely shut in with The Lord in quiet and peaceful worship. No social media, no news, no work, no business, no distractions... just worship, prayer, rest and The Word.
Many have already joined us and we feel an incredible excitement in the Spirit. This will not be a live broadcast, but instead each one of us will be in the privacy of our homes with the Lord. We will do a prayer call Friday before we start and we will probably have a call on Sunday to recap.
